Dezzi waited until Master Tenrek had disappeared around the corner before sprinting down the corridor to his quarters. The determination in his eyes, the fiery ambition and desire for adventure welled inside him. He would prove to Master Tenrek that he was a capable Jedi and he would show the Council that he didn't belong in the famer's corps. Dezzi figured that maybe then Master Tenrek would be proud of him for his effort and the Council wouldn't send the team to the edges of civilization on boring peace missions. His sanity as a Jedi was counting on it.

It didn't take the boy long to gather a small pile of supplies once he had reached the cramped bunkl; The Jedi maintained a strict discipline of poverty and it wasn't as if Dezzi had much to begin with. A handful of ration capsules, a small datapad, and a few credit chips, and he hurriedly wrapped them all inside his robe, turning the bundle into a makeshift sack which he slung over his shoulder. With one last look around the room and a parting glance at the holoimage burried deep in his locker, the young padawan left his quarters.

His plan was simple. All he had to do was sneak out with Master Tenrek seeing him - or the Council, then board a shuttle to the spaceport. Purchasing a transport ticket would be easy and he had just enough credits to make it out to even the Outer Rim, but choosing a destination proved to be a bit more difficult than Dezzi realized.

Edean looked good. He remembered reading something about the Czerka Corporation and the enslavement of the world's natives in Master Tenrek's datapad. Though it wasn't meant for his eyes, Dezzi couldn't help himself when his master left his datapad logged in and perfectly within his reach.

"One ticket to Edean please," he said with the eager grin of a five year-old about to take his first trip into space. The ticketing droid seemed to scan him for a moment then processed the request, hanging the boy a datacard with his pass information. "Thank you!"

Now it was just a waiting game until the ship arrived.

Last call for boarding at ramp 322B. Last call for boarding.

"Finally," he groaned, slinging his robe-sack over his shoulder as he stood up and gathered his bearings. The wait had been excruciating; It had gotten to the point that Dezzi had prepared himself to call the whole thing off, march right back to the temple, and apologize to Master Tenrek for thinking it was even a remotely good idea to run off without approval. Luckily for him, the announcement finally came and he wasted no time in making his way to the boarding ramp.

The brief walk outside, down the ramp to the transport hatch was rather soothing considering the stuffiness of the terminal. The more he thought about it, the more Dezzi realized how much he hated the indoors. It was as if every breath of artificial cooling, dryness, and the collection of foreign smells chocked him. He was looking forward to Edean, a supposed forest-covered world with hardly any development at all.

Unfortunately, Dezzi's shuttle wasn't at ramp 322B. That was a transport bound for Iridonia.

"Master Tenrek is going to be so proud of me."
