As second-in-command of the Mandalore, and primary arranger of fleet assets, I'm finding it difficult to get a proper feel for my fleets without knowing the statistics of the capital ships. If that could be made a priority I would greatly appreciate it.

I PMed the statistics to Mandalore, so he should have them all unless he deleted them. If he doesn't have them, then I'll PM them to you personally.

Also, I'll suggest you or Mandalore making a thread in your private forums for ship stats. That way, you'll never lose them. Razz

I believe Taldar, and by default myself, are hoping for the provision of technical statistics rather than the in-game stats, so that we know how to best utilise our ships tactically.

Hear, hear. As the only player in the Republic Navy (Since I'm the only one who bothered to make a character from it) I need something more than Attack: 2 Speed: 5 and Hull: 20. Razz

Well for one thing, range of weapons....power of different types of weapons....firing arcs on Hammerheads beeing a HIGHLY important design flaw to be exploited....plenty of good reasons for why the system is far too oversimplified....

Is this kinda like not having to pay maintenance because one has slaves that work for free?

Not really...those are assets, this is technical advantages, if you want to discuss my opinion of how upkeep should be handled...talk to me on MSN, however this is about SHIPS and not the inner workings of the Mandalorian War Machine.

The point is that a Hammerhead for instance has major design factors that aren't factored in under the current system - so does the Mandalorian Dreadnaught....thousands of missile launchers are different to gun batteries in combat....

I think thousands of missiles is something of an exaggeration. I'm quite certain no ship of this era has thousands of anything in the area of weapons.

It was exaggeration...I was beeing...flippant.

Regardless that highlights a good reason to tie down the armament of vessels in their stats - and its not particularily complicating things seeing as its not uncommon for battleships in this era to have something in the region of only ten weapons. Even the oft-lauded Dauntless-class only has two main turrets shown...

Well, my vessels are fully described in terms of crew, size, armament and so on, as well as the stats set... not hard for other people to come up with that much, I should hope.

You're not the only player in the Navy, Derek. I've got a Navy guy as well.

So we have... two. Gosh! Razz

My mistake. Razz I still need the stats, since I'm commanding half the Navy and I'm only a Commodore. Razz
